What if the internet was shut down permanently in one hour.

Without thinking, we open our computers and cell phones to our favorite platforms. Hoping there is money or an interesting proposition waiting for us.

But what would it mean if in one-hour all telecommunications towers would no longer allow any form of communication to take place. No more, YouTube, no more Facebook, no more social media, no more texting.

Not too long ago in the seventies, there were no hand help devices or internet. We ran to the home phone when it rang, excited to find out who was on the other end. Today we decide if we are going to pick up depending on who it is. We decide our surprises now.

Acts 2:17 writes "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."

This is absolutely verifiable as we see the world prophesying because God is outpouring His Spirit on all His people. But what happens when there is no more YouTube to prophesy on?

With all the online activity since the Covid pandemic, we have become accustomed to living in a virtual world, aborting our institutions - especially the church which is in the pearl of disappearing. Many churches are closing their doors after centuries and generations and the profession is in danger of disappearing, with it our life customs of marriage, communion, and baptisms.  Support your local church and pray for the ministry so that you can commun in person and speak with other believer's face to face. Do not forsake your assembly as some are in the habit of doing for granted.

"This does not have to be the case."

Fight for your local church and communities.

Mark 12: 31 writes, " The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

We hardly know our neighbors let alone love them. Why do we want thousands of clicks on YouTube channel from people we really don't want to hear from other than their monetary donation. Social media does not mean we are interacting in a human fashion with others. Being human and interacting face to face is not the same as artificial social interaction.

Reconnect with your inner circle of immediate family, members of siblings and neighbors by getting to know them at all costs and see how you may serve them genuinely so that they are not forlorn and lonely. Are your family members and neighbors in need of the gospel message that only you can provide them. Too many times we seek the admiration of people far away and we forget those closest to us.

Were there people in your church that left, and you never checked up on them since. Did you leave a church, and no one bothered to call you since?

"If we are socializing online and through our gadget's then human interactions take a backseat."

Matthew 5:16 writes " In the same way, let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

When we take the time to love on our neighbors and family members, we give them hope that the world can be a friendly and personable place of hope. Today check up on loved one in person and see how you can encourage them unto Christ.

Matthew 4:4 writes, " Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every. Word that comes from the mouth of God." Read you Bible first before opening your cell phone, commun with God first checking with Him first. Remember if the power goes out- who will you check in with?

Luke 15:4 writes, " "What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the pasture and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?

Meaning let's go after those who slipped away from us that we never bothered to go after. sisters and mothers and fathers and lost cousins who we did not bother with but who were in our radius of influence.

Today if you're reading this blog, know that your circle of influence is your family, neighborhood and those around you who might never know Christ if you don't extend your hand of the gospel to them. Put down your cell phone and rediscover socializing the human way- face to face and heart to heart.
