Some Benefits of Covid-19

Not all is lost during this worldwide epidemic. A unique benefit is the free use of public transit. Because our bus passes are not validated at the front of the bus, most of us, if not all, are using the bus services free of charge. This is unprecedented, never have I stepped on a bus without paying a fare scrupulously monitored by the driver and company.

Number two; implied support from the federal government with the Trudeau administration and the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit. Thousands have applied for support. This  "offer" if genuine is through the government and the people's taxes.

The worldwide epidemic has forced people to stay home and this too provides many benefits that we may have long forgotten to enjoy. It is an opportunity to think,  make decisions for which we have not had the time to do. It is an opportunity to spend time with ourselves and others in ways we have not done before.Getting to know each other again. As humans we require  quiet time, and we need time for conversations and communication more fuller than a texting messages attempt at relationship. This getting to know might entail talking over the phone in length and doing things we used to do like play a board game. Relationships are more important than sheepish attempts at interacting. Let's use this opportunity to get closer to each other in genuine,, rediscovering the beauty of people,  get closer to loved ones safely,  get closer to the Spirit of the Universe who is always calling out for us- to guide us, help us and to love us through any event- even Covid. Don't be afraid to get involved in people's lives which are messed up and falling apart. Like the homeless at this time. Do not turn your back on those who are suffering silently, alone. Reach out and help someone, somehow now, you know we got the time.

Psalm 23:1 "The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters; He restores my soul;He leads me in the paths of righteousness; For His names sake."

People are people united by the land they inhabit. Let us be peaceful and thankful of what we have worked and, paid for collectively, together whether French or Greek or Italian or English, woman or man,  let's be thankful and humble that we live on a land which is governed by God's Glory and abundance.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord; thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me and I will listen to you.And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11
