Maxim For Today

The World is changing before our very eyes. We  sit by, pondering what  all this means, and can’t help but feel — are we doing all we can, to be prepared for the upcoming changes?

Changes in the banking systems, change in how we work, changes in how we socialize. Change in how we worship.

This is a time of great uncertainty. Hearing all kinds of news and not knowing which of it is true or false. Being warned through cell phones, we are not to assemble in each other’s homes for Christmas, or fines of six thousand dollars will be levied, seems unbelievable.

“What is going on?”

In order to gain composure in these times of uncertainty, it's wise to seek advice from legitimate regulated authorities. Such as the Bank of Canada, Government MP offices, and legitimate businesses who will answer your questions thoroughly, and assure you that our institutions are  under obligations to act  ethically.

The truth be told is that we want to be prepared for whatever changes are coming, we want to adjust any area of our life, that requires realigning or tweaking- such as our relationships, for example. It’s certainly not the end of the world if we have to make adjustments because wanting to be in a better position is always a good thing. A daily ordered routine can take away the jitters of uncertainty and change.

For me, following a go-to order of activities shields and strengthens my resolve toward a day’s success. My personal plan includes singing Psalms which lifts my spirits and guards me against the heaviness of depression and negativity, a day may bring on. I sing and sing, usually outside, where others cannot hear me, in the early hours of the morning, I belt out tunes for an hour or so, and by the time I am done- I am happy.

In the early hours of the morning, the sacred silence is present, ready to share its truths, wisdom, and love with the a listening world. Everything is reset. We can redo and correct the previous day's blunders. This peaceful mood and quiet allows for thoughtful reflection, where one can order our activities thoughtfully, and be determined to set one’s attitude positively.

The morning, for me, is a time of communion with the Creator, I read my sacred Bible which houses the very voice of God, I listen, meditate & pray, lifting those in my home, city, and country, who need encouragement, support, and good words to come their way.

This is no longer a religious comment, -but my actual lifeline of hope and strength.

The ritual of spending time in the presence of an all-knowing advisor, & advocate, sets my day up for success. As well, I am on alert to shun any toxic thinking, such as worrying, that would train my energy or poison my mood. Instead, I fix my thoughts and discipline my mind to think of things that help me to be clear-minded, focused, and positive.

There is comfort in knowing that the all-seeing eye is watching over me, guiding me every step of the way. I welcome the creator into my life- one minute at a time, knowing, I am never alone, & remembering to stop & ask for advice because the LORD is an ever open channel of priceless direction, strength, and knowledge.

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”                                                                                              Jeremiah 29:11
