Freedom of conscious and religion past and present

The first seventeen words of the Canadian constitution writes.

"Whereas Canada is founded upon the principals that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law."

What does the supremacy of God look like, on earth for a nation such as Canada? Many are unaware that these very words begins the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, glorifying the Creator as ruler and protector of this land of the free -

Canada has become a nation however, that does not completely recognize the supremacy of God.

People and societies evolve and change for better and/or worst depending on what were talking about.

God's name at most, has been replaced in government, institutions, schools, in places of business and now even out of our churches as the not to "go to" for advice, guidance and protection- as least not openly. Called out through the Word as "the spirit of the Antichrist" The Antichrist is the spirit of deception that shadows Christs doctrine as up for interpretation and negotiation denying God His power.

But as the constitution declares because of the eternal standard and supremacy of God, all can approach the throne of God to always ask for advice, protection and guidance. We just need to be patience and better listeners.

Let us return to our countries past history where God was the first Unknown mover we sought advice, protection and provision from.  Let us not be fooled through deception of self will and self trust. God see's, knows our end from the beginning.

For I have not given anyone a spirit of fear but of love, self control and a sound mind. Come boldly to the throne of God for guidance and direction.

The Word of God is sharper than any two edge sword able to divide bone and marrow and pierces even to the division of soul and spirit, and discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Daniel 7:14

"And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom is one that shall not be destroyed."

For billions of people worldwide our relationship with God and His Word, is the standard of joy and a source of our very existence.

The truth be told, we love the concept of our churches and yes, get upset and mad at them- similar to the dichotomies of any relationship, there is the good, the bad and the ugly. But,

At the end of the day- to congregate and to worship God is a fundamental necessity like breathing. We need a relationship with God and at each day come to a fuller and complete understanding of our existence in unison with the Trinity. This is done through prayer, fasting and worship.

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms state under Fundamental Freedoms that Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms (a) freedom of conscious and religion: (b) freedom of the press and other media of communication: (c) freedom of peaceful assembly: and (f) freedom of association.

I ask each person to stand up for their right to assemble and congregate freely under the rights and freedoms of our constitution and to voice one's this opinion to local MP and our Government in defense of each believing citizen's right to assemble, contemplate and worship God, in a peaceful and self dignified and respectful manner.

We need our churches open to pray, and to give and receive support during these trying and uncertain periods. The world is changing rapidly and we need the space of worship and protection only God can provide in these end times. Support the clergy and give generously.  It is written that  our LORD said-

"Sell your possessions and follow me." We cannot out-give God.

If one wants to not wear a mask during a church service is this right to be heeded, allowed and respected? If one is not sick in a medical sense should they be forced to wear a mask is a question we can ask our MP's. Are medical results the private right of each individual and not the worlds. Can we as a nation get scientific reports of what is really going on with Covid-19?

For example the following article on the topic of masks worn in church...

.- A federal judge has said Colorado officials may not enforce anti-coronavirus limits against two churches, saying that the state rules lack sufficient exemptions for the free exercise of religion.

The regulations treat churches more strictly than similar gatherings, which are required to observe social distancing but not observe occupational limits as well, the judge said, adding that the rules fail to protect congregations that may wish to remove facial coverings for religious reasons.

“With each exception Colorado makes for secular institutions, the failure to make the same exemption for houses of worship becomes increasingly problematic,” U.S. District Court Judge Daniel Domenico said in his Oct. 15 order. “Colorado’s failure to offer a compelling reason why houses of worship are subject to greater restrictions than warehouses, schools, and restaurants violates the First Amendment’s guarantee of the free exercise of religion.”

The judge’s order exempts the two churches from mask requirements and occupancy limits that they believe bar their religious practice. However, they still must follow sanitation requirements, maintain social distancing, and prohibit shaking hands. The temporary injunction is in place while the case is heard in court.

The Constitution does not allow the State to tell a congregation how large it can be when comparable secular gatherings are not so limited, or to tell a congregation that its reason for wishing to remove facial coverings is less important than a restaurant’s or spa’s,” Domenico said.

The plaintiffs are two Protestant pastors and their Denver-area churches: Bob Enyart of Denver Bible Church in Wheat Ridge and Joey Rhoads of Community Baptist Church in Brighton. In August they filed a complaint against federal and state officials charging that the state health orders were vague and infringed on religious freedom.

Let's get back to the basics and let us join hands in returning to the LORD. Loving God, loving each other and being committed to what is really worthy in our walk with the Lord through relationship, prayer and worship and generously  supporting the clergy and the church and body of Christ.

Psalm 149: 1

Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song. And His praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance: Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people: He will beautify the humble with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory. Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two edged sword in their hand (the Bible) To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples: To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron: To execute on them the written judgement-This honor have all His saints.

Pray for your clergy and give to them generously so that there will be food in the house of God. Bless them and obey whether you think they deserve it or not. Pray and support the brethren in all humility. No judging, criticizing or contention should be part of the body of Christ but rather obedience and humility in heart and mind. Prepare spiritually to meet your maker and work daily at becoming spotless. Amen
