I suspect and correct me if I am wrong that most people could use a little more money. Money is so tightly cherished, it feels like no excessive amounts are flowing, made, earned, or shared for that matter. Except for a few percentages of the world's population who are very rich- most people feel there could be more to go around. There's never "enough" money my Mamma says, meaning like water there will always be a need for it. King Solomon of ancient Israel of the Sacred Scripture in the book of Ecclesiastes says "money is the answer to everything."

The lack and need of money give rise to many worldwide struggles and frustrations, such as lack of food, lodging, or access to medical care can interfere with one's peace of mind and survival, causing sickness and disease. The poor who lack the basic necessities of life are, to be treated with respect and helped as much as it depends on us. Some of us are better at getting ourselves out of a bad situation than others. We don't always know where to start, getting ourselves out of where we are, to where we desire to be. We struggle and think of ways to compensate for the lack. We spend countless dollars on the knowledge we hope, will be the secret door to everlasting riches. We choose jobs and careers which make "a lot" of money. Riches translate to happiness and contentment to a degree that I think we can all agree on. What if I told you in this very hour, that there is an easy answer to all this digging and finding that is right at your fingertips.

The purpose of being in abundance and plentifulness is not a bad desire. We need money to eat, pay bills, and to give to others and organizations such as the church and clergy as they faithfully watch and care for the structure of the church and our souls. Being physically and mentally healthy is a good aspiration to desire. And anyone or anything that promotes human flourishing should be upheld, valued, and treasured. 

"Wealth is a particular frame of mind, wealth without knowledge, or vision can be reckless."

If I told you that the whole human race has access to this treasure, wisdom, riches, and knowledge that would profoundly change the course and quality of one's life would you not take heed and listen!

Proverbs 3:13 directly tells us how to attain riches, long good life, and honor. 

"Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days are in her right hand. In her left-hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her."

The Creator of the universe is not a liar. These words are words of truth and applied will promote and bless you.

All her ways are ways of pleasantness and her paths are peace. Let's apply these two ideas for starters in the following weeks to come. Be pleasant and notice that we can get more with kindness and nice words than with striving and pushing. Choose a route that is calm, peaceful, so that you can hear God's voice guiding you in wisdom and truth and abundance. Ask God to open your golden doors and walk through them gracefully for the Lord says

"But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth - Deuteronomy 8:18 

On the flip side of the coin- not all should aspire for wealth to the point of one's hurt and demise. What good would that be? 

" Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers."  3 John 1:2
